Holiday clubs all you need to know?...

 We run our fun, active nature Holiday Clubs suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years old at the beautiful Hollington Wood, MK46 5JH on the outskirts of Olney. Our all-weather, outdoor clubs are perfect for developing friendships, trust, teamwork and confidence. 

Each day has a different theme and activities planned, alongside supervised adventure game time. They will make new friends, enjoy the outdoors and develop new skills. Hollington Wood has a base camp area with bell tents and parachute canopies, toilets, a fire pit, clamber nets, trampolines, rope bridges, tree swings and a dedicated adventure games area.

Children need to bring a packed lunch, snacks, a water bottle, suitable outdoor footwear, coat/waterproof or hat/sunscreen as appropriate. All staff are fully insured, 1st aid trained & DBS checked

Directions to Hollington Wood, MK46 5jd:

Take the driveway on your left between the Tyringham and Sherington turns, as you come out of Olney towards Newport Parnell on the A509. The turning is just after the bus stop, signposted to Hollington Wood. Press the buzzer for Hollington Wood and someone will buzz you through the gate. Come approx 100 yards down the drive and take the 1st turning on your left and park in the car park on your left. There is a green Kids Outdoors sign on the post where you need to turn. We will meet you in the car park.

MON 2ND: GEORGE’S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE:

Potion making story workshop, Wizards & fairies fizzy fun experiments, broomsticks, wands & spells.

 TUE 3RD: MINI BEAST & MYTHICAL CREATURES DAY:

Hunting for mythical creatures in the woods, Mini beast hunting & identification, make a bug hotel, make a bug sculpture.

WEDS 4TH: TRIBAL & TREASURE HUNT DAY:

Tribal games & treasure hunting, organise your tribe, make a logo and chant & hunt for treasure. Survival tribal games in our adventure area. Fire lighting skils & marshmallows around the campfire

THU 5TH: THE DISGUSTING SANDWICH DAY:

Adventure around the woods to make the most disgusting sandwich, stream scrabbling, raft & dam building, muddy play & mud art, disgusting S’mores making

FRI 6TH: WILD CRAFT VERSES MINE CRAFT:

Mine craft treasure hunt, Mine craft inspired games in the adventure area, Mine craft equipment building, Marshmallows & S’mores aroung the campfire. 

WEDS 11TH: CAMPFIRE COOKOUT:

Fun games session, foraging in the woods, Nettle tea making, American Bannock bread making, Fire lighting & campfire cookery

THU 12TH: BUSH CRAFT SKILLS DAY:

Back to basics survival day. Learn tracking through the woods, survival games in our adventure area, den building, fire lighting skills and marshmallow toasting around the fire

MON 16TH: NERFAGEDON…ALL THINGS NERF:

Tactical game play, Zombie strike, Capture the flag & fun games all played in our adventure area. All equipment provided, but welcome to bring their own guns. There will be alternative games if the children don’t want to use the Nerf guns. S’mores making around the campfire all served with hot chocolate

TUE 17TH AUG:  HARRY POTTER  DAY:

Harry Potter inspired potions, spells & wizardry day. Hunt for fantastic beasts, Harry Potter games, broomstick making & quidditch, potion making session, spells, wands & wizardry.

WEDS 18TH : NATURAL ART & CRAFTS DAY:

Scavenger hunts, nature inspired arts, dream catcher making, Muddy play & picture making, natural sculpture, dye making workshop

TUE 24TH; BACK TO BASICS SURVIVAL & BUSH CRAFT:

Tracking skills, Orienteering, map & compass skills, den building, fire lighting, marshmallows & S’mores around the campfire

WEDS 25TH: WATER DAY:  

 A wet & wild day as it says on the tin! Wet & wild challenges, giant slip & slide, catapult balloon launchers. Dress to get wet with a change of clothes & a water pistol if you have one. Finish around the camp fire with marshmallows & hot chocolate
